BME Engagement and Support Workers (Employment and Mental Health) | West London (satellite based)
salary: £23,977 - £25,195 per annum | Duration: Permanent, subject to continuous funding | Hours: 37.5 hours (full-time)

EACH Counselling and Support (EACH), in partnership with Twining Enterprise, has been funded by the Big Lottery Fund and the European Social Fund (ESF), to deliver a Programme called Building Better Opportunities that will provide personalised employment support using the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model to support people with common mental health conditions across North West London.

We are looking for two post holders to be based at EACH Brent, Design Works, Park Parade, NW10 4HT and EACH Ealing, Vine House, Hanwell W7 3UG. We anticipate that one post holder will work across Harrow, Barnet, Brent and the post holder will cover Ealing, Hillingdon, Hounslow, and Hammersmith and Fulham. This is subject to change, depending on the need of the project. The service is available to residents in the boroughs above, and the Engagement and Support workers are expected to travel between these boroughs proactively.

The post holders’ main purpose includes:

  • To provide effective delivery of the Building Better Opportunities (BBO) project across North West London.
  • To identify and engage Black Minority Ethnic (BME) residents with common mental health problems into the BBO project.
  • To build confidence, break down barriers and maintain engagement of clients through the programme.
  • To identify and engage BME employers within the boroughs of the project’s operations to provide employment opportunities for the clients.

Key post requirements:

  • Positive, person-centred personality and strong commitment to equal opportunities and diversity
  • Experience of outreach and support to people with common mental health problems and/or supporting Black, Minority & Ethnic communities
  • Experience of carrying out strong needs assessment and SMART support plans
  • Fluency in a key community language is desirable – e.g. Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, Somali, Farsi

Brent Floating Support Worker (x2 vacancies) | EACH Brent

We are looking for two post holders to be based at EACH Brent, Design Works, Park Parade, NW10 4HT (will be required to provide outreach and home visits work across London borough of Brent) for the delivery of the Brent Generic Floating Support Services.

The post holders’ main purpose includes:

  • To provide an effective outreach floating support service to vulnerable adults and families plus manage a case load of people who are at risk and living in a variety of different tenures to maintain their home and live independently.
  • Identify service user’s needs and support them to access other support services, trainings and life activities both within EACH and by referrals to other agencies within the borough.
  • Deliver information, presentations, group sessions and workshops/activities including on an outreach basis and within the community
  • Keep and provide data and monitoring reports

Key post requirements:

  • Experience of providing tenancy support.
  • Experience of outreach work amongst vulnerable people
  • Experience of developing and implementing support plans

Volunteer Counsellors - The Jasmine Project | EACH Ealing
salary: unpaid voluntary role | Duration: 12 weeks+ | Hours: Min 4 hours per week

We are currently recruiting female* volunteer counsellors for our women's complex needs service in Ealing - The Jasmine Project. Due to the complex nature of the issues experienced by this client group, you must have already completed 100 hours 1:1 counselling to be considered for this project. 

The Jasmine Project supports women in Ealing with experience of inter-related issues including; mental health, domestic and sexual violence, trauma and problematic drug and alcohol use. The project provides women-only group therapy and 1:1 counselling in a safe space to help build confidence and life skills.
