Women’s Services

ASCENT

Ascent provides service for those affected by sexual domestic violence and abuse  through the provision of frontline services as well as support to voluntary and statutory organisations. We work in delivering a range of services for survivors of domestic and sexual violence and abuse

Support Offered: A confidential counselling and support Service in safe locations, One to one counselling (up to 21 sessions), Help with safety planning and self care, Support to facilitate positive changes, Build skills to enhance selfcare.

Eligibility Criteria: 16+ Female, Living in Brent, Ealing, Harrow, Hillingdon Current or past experience of domestic violence or abuse.

AWAAZ 3

Awaaz provides one to one counselling and casework for women from the Black and Minority Ethnic communities to help them recover from the impact and experiences of domestic abuse

Eligibility Criteria: 18+ Female, Living in Brent, Ealing, Harrow, Hillingdon. Current or  past experience of domestic violence or abuse.

COMPLEX NEEDS

The project helps women to access services (brokerage, advocacy) and also develop their own opportunities for health, wellbeing, leisure and social contact, working on a strengths based approach.

Support Offered:  We support women who have  substance misuse, mental health and domestic violence issues

Eligibility Criteria:  Women 18+, Living in Brent, Ealing, Hillingdon, Hounslow,

NEW ROOTS

We provide support for  female survivors of domestic abuse with culturally competent counselling, group-based support and aftercare which with the hope of enable women to move forward and achieve their long-term recovery goals.

Support Offered:  1:1 Counselling  in culturally specific languages ( Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Pashto and English) , Group sessions,  Employment , Training and Education coaching, support worker

Eligibility Criteria: 18+, Living in Brent, Ealing, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Past experience of domestic abuse, Currently living in safe accommodation, sanctuary schemes, move-on/second stage accommodation including women in refuges, DA Units, self-contained units

Young People

AST

Accelerated Support Team (AST) provides a rapid-response service to young people and their families. The key objective of AST is to divert young people from care system and to enable them to continue to remain with or return to their families whenever safe to do so.

Eligibility Criteria: Young people between the ages of 11 and 17

YOUTH OFFENDING SERVICES

We provide support around substance misuse to young people and their parents / carers in Brent who are subject to out of court disposal as part of the London borough of Brent

Eligibility Criteria: 11 + Residents of Brent
